STYBCEM Toughness Anti-Gas Migration Cement Slurry

STYBCEM Toughness Anti-Gas Migration Cement Slurry

Introduction

The STYBCEM Toughness Anti-Gas Migration Cement Slurry System is developed to address the challenges of gas migration during the cementing of shale gas wells and the issues encountered during perforation fracturing in later production stages. This system exhibits excellent anti-gas migration properties, effectively preventing gas migration during cementing and waiting-on-cement time, ensuring safety and quality in cementing operations. The high toughness of the cement stone ensures stability and integrity of the cement sheath during enhanced oil recovery operations such as perforation and fracturing, preventing wellhead pressure issues and maintaining shale gas well productivity. Key Additive Descriptions

  1. Nano Anti-Gas Migration Agent MC
MC is a colloidal solution composed of nano metal oxides processed through pecialized techniques. These metal oxides, with diameters less than 5 nanometers and large specific surface areas, significantly bind the free water in the cement slurry gaps, enhancing stability, reducing permeability, and increasing cement stone strength. MC promotes cement hydration, accelerates C-S-H gel formation, and significantly reduces the timeframe for achieving cement stone strength, thus effectively performing the anti-gas migration function.

Functions:

    • Shortens the time required for cement slurry to gain strength.

    • Enhances the microstructure of the cement stone.

    • Increases the cement stone's gas migration prevention capability.

  1. Toughening Agent GR66L
GR66L is a composite product of emulsion polymers, featuring small spherical polymer particles suspended in an emulsion. The polymer particles in the latex have diameters ranging from 0.05 to 0.5 μm. The latex solution forms a cementitious system with low fluid loss, good rheological properties, anti-gas migration capabilities, and high      toughness. It is ideal for cementing small boreholes, sidetracks, and multilateral wells.

Functions:

    • Provides low fluid loss, good rheology, anti-gas migration, and high toughness.

    • Improves the microstructure and mechanical properties of the cement stone.

    • Compatible with density modifiers like microspheres, fly ash, ilmenite powder, and barite powder for various density requirements.

    • Suitable for use with fresh, seawater, and saline water slurries.

  1. Retarder RET-M
RET-M is synthesized from organic chemical raw materials, ensuring non-toxicity, odorlessness, and no equipment corrosion. RET-M allows for precise adjustment of thickening time based on dosage, maintaining a linear relationship for ease of construction control. It is compatible  with other cement additives and does not impair cement stone strength,      making it suitable for operations under high salinity conditions.

Functions:

    • Adjusts cement slurry thickening time, with dosage directly affecting the duration.

    • Usable temperature range: 30 to 150°C.

    • Applicable in fresh, seawater, and saline water environments.
