  4. Good Rheological Properties and High Strength: Ensures stability and performance during cementing.

Applications

  1. Cementing for High-Temperature High-Pressure Wells: Suitable for the most demanding well conditions.

  2. Horizontal Wells and Shale Gas Wells Cementing: Optimized for high-pressure scenarios found in complex well structures.

System Additives

  • Fluid Loss Additive (FLO-S): Recommended dosage: 1.5–2.5% for solid types; 4–6% for liquid types.

  • Retarder (RET):Dosage adjusted as required.

  • Dispersant (CF44L):Recommended dosage: 1–2.5% for solid types; 2–4% for liquid types.

  • Defoamer (DESL): Recommended dosage: 0.5–1% for liquid types.

  • Weighting Agent (WEIGHT):Dosage adjusted based on density requirements.

  • Thermal Stabilizer:Recommended dosage: 35–55%.

Key Additive Descriptions

  1. WEIGHT Weighting Agent
WEIGHT is a hematite powder with an optimized particle size distribution, suitable for a variety of slurry systems. This additive not only increases the density of the cement slurry but also maintains excellent rheological properties and provides high compressive strength to the cement stone. The product is non-toxic, odorless, and harmless to human health.

Functions:

    • Available in different mesh sizes (250 mesh, 1200 mesh, 5000 mesh).

    • Provides superior weighting performance and high suspension stability.

    • Stable performance with minimal impact on rheological properties, and resistance to thickening at high temperatures.

  1. CF44L Dispersant
CF44L is a high-temperature dispersant that significantly reduces the viscosity of high-temperature high-density cement slurry systems, improving fluidity and rheology. It maintains efficient drag reduction and dispersion without affecting thickening times or cement stone strength. Demonstrates good compatibility with other cement additives and is adaptable to oil well cements from different manufacturers, fulfilling the high rheological performance needs for cementing in deep and special wells.

Functions:

    • Provides excellent dispersion  and drag reduction at high temperatures.

    • Does not retard setting time  or affect the strength of cement stone.

    • No special requirements for  mixing water quality, suitable for freshwater, seawater, and saline  water.

GYPCEM Salt Layer Cement Slurry System

Introduction

The GYPCEM Salt Layer Cement Slurry System has been specifically designed to address the challenges associated with cementing operations in salt gypsum formations. By tailoring the cement slurry formulation to accommodate the lithological characteristics of salt gypsum layers and employing carefully selected salt-resistant additives and weighting materials, this system successfully meets the demands of saturated brine cementing operations. The GYPCEM system provides stability, strong bonding capabilities, and is ideal for the unique requirements of salt layer cementing.

Key Features

  1. Suitability for Salt Gypsum and Thick Salt Gypsum Layers: Specially formulated for challenging salt formations.

  2. Compatible with Semi-Saturated and Saturated Brine: Flexible in various salinity conditions.

  3. Good Rheology and High Strength: Ensures stability and performance in cementing operations.

  4. Temperature Resistance Up to 200°C: Suitable for high-temperature formations.

Applications

  1. Cementing in Salt Gypsum and Thick Salt Gypsum Layers: Designed for effective operations in salt formations.

  2. Suitable for Saline or High-Pressure Saline Water Formations: Optimized for challenging saline environments.

System Additives

  • Polymeric Fluid Loss Additive (CG88L): Recommended dosage: 1.2–2.5% for solid types; 4–8% for liquid types.

  • Weighting Agent (CD-X): Dosage adjusted from 0–300% as needed.

  • Retarder (RET-M): Dosage adjusted based on specific requirements.

  • Dispersant (DISP): Recommended dosage: 0.5–3% for solid types; 0.2–1.5% for liquid types.

  • Anti-Gas Migration Agent (CGR68L): Recommended dosage: 2–5% for liquid types.

Key Additive Descriptions

  1. Anti-Gas Migration Agent CGR68L
CGR68L is a styrene-butadiene latex product synthesized through a proprietary process that significantly improves the bonding between cement and salt layers. The latex exists as an emulsion of small spherical polymer particles with a size range of 0.05~0.5μm. This latex solution forms a cementitious system with features such as low fluid loss, good      rheology, anti-gas migration, and high toughness.

Functions:

    • Reduces fluid loss in cement slurry.

    • Enhances bonding strength  between cement slurry and salt wall surfaces.

    • Minimizes shrinkage during  cement hydration.

    • Improves the impact toughness of the cement stone.

  1. Salt-Resistant Polymeric Fluid Loss Additive CG88L
CG88L is a sulfonated polymeric fluid loss additive, prepared by copolymerizing acrylamide and its AMPS derivatives. It exhibits minimal impact on the fluid loss control and thickening properties of cement slurry in seawater, saltwater, and highly mineralized water media.

Functions:

    • Reduces fluid loss in saline cement slurry.

    • Improves bonding quality between cement slurry and salt layers, enhancing cementing operation quality.

    • Overcomes negative influences from water quality, temperature, and formation conditions during cementing operations.
