LITCEM High-Strength Low-Density Cement Slurry System

LITCEM High-Strength Low-Density Cement Slurry System

Introduction

The LITCEM High-Strength Low-Density Cement Slurry System is specifically designed for cementing operations in low-temperature, low-pressure formations. By utilizing tight particle packing technology, this system achieves adjustable slurry density ranging from 1.15 to 1.50 g/cm³. The collaboration of accelerators and enhancers ensures excellent low-temperature hydration capabilities. This system is suitable for cementing operations at minimum temperatures as low as 7°C, effectively ensuring a 24-hour cured cement stone compressive strength of ≥3.5 MPa. It offers superior performance for low-temperature, low-pressure, and easily lost circulation well sections.

Key Features

  1. Suitable for Ultra-Low  Temperature Cementing: Operates effectively down to 7°C.

  2. Applicable for Ultra-Low Density Cementing: Can achieve slurry density as low as 1.15 g/cm³.

  3. Ideal for Low-Pressure, Easily Lost Circulation Formations: Suitable for cementing operations in such challenging environments.

Applications

  1. Deepwater Surface Cementing:Ideal for low-temperature settings typical in deepwater cementing.

  2. Low-Pressure, Easily Lost Circulation Formations: Capable of handling formations with low-pressure tolerance and high risk of lost circulation.

System Additives

  • Accelerator (ACC-6):Recommended dosage: 2–4% for solid types; 6–8% for liquid types.

  • Enhancer (PF-6):Recommended dosage: 6–10% for solid types.

  • Lightweight Additive (DWR-600):Recommended dosage: 40–100% for solid types.

  • Dispersant (CF49L):Recommended dosage: 0.2–1.5% for solid types; 0.5–3% for liquid types.

Key Additive Descriptions

  1. ACC Accelerator
ACC is a highly efficient accelerator that is compatible with other cement slurry additives. It increases the rate of cement hydration reactions, improves crystal structures, shortens thickening time, reduces waiting on cement time, and boosts early cement stone strength, particularly under low-temperature conditions, without adversely affecting later strength development. Utilizing ACC-enabled cementing techniques can shorten drilling cycles and improve economic benefits.

Functions:

    • Significantly shortens thickening time.

    • Dramatically increases early cement stone strength.

    • Does not affect the long-term strength development of cement stone.

  1. PF Enhancer
PF Enhancer is a blend of several inorganic mineral raw materials and compounds mixed with small amounts of active agents. It enhances early strength development of cement slurry even at low temperatures. Designed with a tightly packed particle size distribution, it efficiently fills the microvoids between cement particles. The high-valence metal ions and other multivalent anions form complex salts with cement hydration products, promoting denser and stronger cement stone structure.

Functions:

    • Increases early strength of  cement slurry.

    • Improves microstructure and mechanical properties of cement stone.

    • Applicable to both  low-density and conventional density cement slurry systems.

  1. DWR Lightweight Additive
DWR is a high-performance hollow calcium borosilicate glass microsphere, a lightweight inorganic non-metallic material. It features a true density of 0.2-0.70 g/cm³ and particle size ranging from 2-120 μm, with high compressive strength and good flowability. Adding DWR to the cement slurry significantly reduces its density while maintaining excellent suspension stability and strength.

Functions:

    • Adjusts slurry density within the range of 1.15–1.50 g/cm³.

    • Improves slurry flowability with microsphere structure.

    • High compressive strength, resistant to crushing in high-temperature, high-pressure environments.

  1. CF49L Dispersant
CF49L is an aldehyde-ketone polymer dispersant tailored for low-temperature environments. It significantly decreases slurry consistency, enhancing fluidity and rheological properties without compromising early strength development. It’s compatible with other slurry treatment agents and suitable for various oil well cements from different      manufacturers, meeting high rheological performance requirements in deep or special well cementing operations.

Functions:

    • Excellent dispersion and friction reduction.

    • Non-retarding, with no notable impact on thickening time or early cement stone strength.

    • Suitable for any water quality, including freshwater, seawater, and saline water.
