Product Description

     Silicate exists in different forms depending on the pH value, while the PH is lower than 10.7, it will precipitate in Orth silicic acid or oligomeric silicic acid, forming a network gel structure, then a total gel. While in drilling practice, the silicate is often aggregated due to improper pH control, resulting in failure. RHESTAB is a pH stabilizer, aim to maintain the pH of the silicate system between 11 and 12 with the event of formation water and cutting invasion. RHESTAB can prevent the silicate from being precipitated from the drilling fluid in the form of Orth silicic acid or oligomictic acid due to the decrease in pH value, forming a gel with a three-dimensional spatial network structure, which in turn leads to rheological out of control.

Recommended Treatment

•   For normal applications, add 1.0-3.0%.

•  Closely monitor PH value and Rheology in field application.

     • RHESTAB is packaged in 50-lb or 55-lb (22.7-kg or 25-kg), multi-wall, paper sacks.

     • Store in a dry, well-ventilated area. Keep container closed. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Store away from incompatibles.

     • Follow safe warehousing practices regarding palletizing, banding, shrink-wrapping and/or stacking.
