n  Technical Introduction

    VersDRIL OBM achieves ultra-low viscosity rheological control through outstanding emulsification stability, facilitating the formation of a turbulent flow pattern to ensure borehole cleanliness. Additionally, it features low equivalent circulating density (ECD), low friction, strong plugging capabilities, and pollution resistance, effectively enhancing borehole stability and accelerating drilling operations.

    Key treatment agents include the main emulsifier VersEMUL, auxiliary emulsifier VersCOAT, thixotropic agent RheVIS, and fluid loss control agent JHFL.

n  Technical Features

   ( 1 ) Ultra-low viscosity control, plastic viscosity (PV) 30 mPa·s (@ 1.50 g/cm3);

   ( 2 ) Low ECD control, with ECD added value 0.12g/cm3;

   ( 3 ) Excellent lubricity, EP coefficient of friction (CF) 0.08;

   ( 4 ) Good emulsion stability, demulsification voltage (ES) 600 V;

   ( 5 ) Strong plugging performance, high-temperature and high-pressure filtration loss (FLHTHP) ≤ 3.0 mL;

   ( 6 ) The damage to oil and gas reservoirs is small, and the permeability recovery rate is 85%;

   ( 7 ) Regular maintenance of glue solution is simple, convenient, stable in performance and compatible with water-based plugging materials;

   ( 8 ) Good compatibility: compatible with diesel oil and white oil.

n  Field Application

    The system has been successfully deployed in over 500 wells in the Fuling shale gas demonstration area. Throughout this period, the shale formation remained stable, friction torque was consistent, and drilling fluid performance remained stable. Notably, there were no occurrences of borehole wall collapse or drilling tool sticking, resulting in favorable application outcomes.
