Case Study
Applied in over 800 shale gas wells in Chongqing and Sichuan, and Xinjiang regions, InteDRIL has demonstrated its efficacy in challenging conditions. Notably, on the Wei 204 drilling platform, complex near-surface geology presented risks like gas kicks, water influx, and collapses due to karst features and faults. Despite these challenges, the InteDRIL system ensured stable fluid performance, excellently managing cuttings transport and reducing operational risks.
For example, well Wei 204H49-7, with a total depth of 5760m and a horizontal section of 2235m, achieved significant milestones. The integrated fluid handled 2890m of drilling in 21.19 days, showcasing strong contamination resistance, inhibition, and sealing capabilities. Resulting in high-quality cuttings return, it increased drilling speed and safety, while reducing both operational costs and material consumption.
