HiSTAR Modified Starch HT

HiSTAR Modified Starch HT

HiSTAR Modified Starch HT

Product Description

STAR-AM is a kind of AMPS and AM monomers introduced into the straight chain structure of natural starch by graft copolymerization, and is prepared and screened by adjusting the ratio of starch and monomers for regulating flow profile and lowering fluid loss in high temperature. Can be used in direct flowback of solid-free drill-in fluid systems with the excellent properties of synthetic polymers and natural polymers.

Applications /Functions

     •   Thermal stability is up to 180.

     •   Utilized in water based solid free system.

     •   Can enhance thermal stability for solid free drill-in system

     •   Lower filtercake permeability, enhance reduction of fluid loss, and minimize fluid invasion in reservoir.

Toxicity & Handling

     •   Bioassay information is available upon request.

     •   Handle as an industrial chemical, wearing protective equipment and observing the precautions as described in the safety datasheet.

     •   It is recommended to supplement this material with glue solution, and it is not recommended to add it directly into well slurry.

Typical Properties

   Appearance:                                         Flowing Powder

   Apparent Viscosity:                                      ≥12.0

   Fluid Loss:                                                    ≤15.0

Note: Fresh water-based mud with recommended formulation.

   Apparent Viscosity:                                      ≥12.0

   Fluid Loss:                                                    ≤15.0

Note: 4% brine-based mud with recommended formulation.

Recommended Treatment

   For normal applications, add 2.0-3.0%.

     •  Directly treatment into active will be avoided, addition into the premix and dilution in the active will be better.

Packaging

     •   HiSTAR is packaged in 50-lb or 55-lb (22.7-kg or 25-kg), multi-wall, paper sacks.

     •   Store in a dry, well-ventilated area. Keep container closed. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame. Store away from incompatibles.

     •   Follow safe warehousing practices regarding palletizing, banding, shrink-wrapping and/or stacking.
