QUISEAL Pressure-Activated Wellbore Repair

QUISEAL Pressure-Activated Wellbore Repair is a rapid repair technology for downhole tubulars. It consists of a special fluid made from carrier fluid, short-chain polymers, monomers, and polymerization initiators, with hydrated short-chain polymers as the key active units. The solid components include monomers and polymers that crosslink under polymerization activators. The sealing fluid is a unique emulsion with dispersed phase particles featuring reactive cores. When the inert shell of these particles breaks under external pressure, they react and stack within micro-leak pathways, achieving rapid in-situ sealing to ensure complete wellbore integrity.

Field Application
This sealing technology has been applied by CNOOC, demonstrating excellent sealing efficiency against tubing string gas leaks into the annulus. Without compromising the structural integrity of the tubulars, the sealant is easy to pump through the casing annulus and back into thread crevices, providing rapid and effective gas sealing.
