On March 16, the Jingzhou Municipal Government organized and held a 2022 conference on accelerating the construction of a strong intellectual property city and strengthening intellectual property protection in the form of a video conference. A total of 90 people, including leaders and liaison officers from member units of the 24 joint conference on the construction of strong intellectual property cities, as well as heads of some universities and relevant enterprises in Jingzhou, participated in the main venue. Vice Mayor Li Gan of the municipal government attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The meeting was chaired by Song Bin, Deputy Secretary General of the Municipal Government.

The meeting pointed out that in recent years, the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government have attached great importance to intellectual property work and adhered to the five-in-one work philosophy of "creation, utilization, protection, management, and service". The city's intellectual property work has shown a good development trend. First, new breakthroughs have been made in the development of patents and trademarks. Second, new achievements have been made in the application of intellectual property rights. Third, the level of intellectual property protection has been improved.

The meeting requested that governments and departments throughout the city further improve their understanding and unify their thinking, and comprehensively strengthen the creation, application, protection, management, and service of intellectual property rights based on the work goal of strengthening the city's construction of intellectual property rights by the municipal party committee and government, in accordance with the work philosophy of "strengthening the foundation, emphasizing development, emphasizing application, strict protection, optimizing the environment, and strengthening security". In 2022, Jingzhou City should take the construction of a strong city with intellectual property as its goal, base itself on the industrial foundation of Jingzhou, serve the development of pillar and leading industries, focus on high-tech enterprises, enterprises above the designated size, and leading enterprises, increase efforts to create and cultivate high-value intellectual property, strengthen the deep integration of intellectual property work with scientific, technological, and economic work, and continuously improve the innovation capabilities of enterprises and cities.

The meeting prepared and issued the "General Information on the Work of Intellectual Property Rights in the City in 2021", the "Joint Meeting System for the Construction of a Strong City with Intellectual Property Rights in Jingzhou City", the "Division of Responsibilities among Member Units of the Joint Meeting for the Construction of a Strong City with Intellectual Property Rights in Jingzhou City", and the "Evaluation Plan for the Work of Intellectual Property Rights Protection in Jingzhou City in 2022" (draft for comments), which included the performance of intellectual property protection in the evaluation of 8 counties and cities The performance evaluation system for member units of the three functional areas and 24 joint intellectual property meetings has fully promoted the city's intellectual property protection work to a new level.

At the meeting, two enterprises, namely Jiahua Technology and Southeast Alcohol, and Yichang Municipal Market Supervision Bureau were invited to exchange experiences and make speeches on innovation creation, brand application, and intellectual property operation city creation. Leaders in charge of each county, city, and district government, as well as heads of relevant departments, liaison officers, and relevant enterprise leaders, attended the meeting at the branch venue.
