DriSEAL Plugging while Drilling

DriSEAL Plugging while Drilling

DriSEAL Plugging while Drilling

n  Technical Introduction

DriSEAL plugging while drilling technology is a leakage prevention and plugging method employed during drilling operations. In formations prone to leakage, a small quantity of plugging agent is added to the drilling fluid to enhance plugging capabilities while drilling. This agent possesses significant strength and deformation ability, effectively sealing microcracks in the formation to obstruct continuous leakage and improve the formation's pressure-bearing capacity.

n  Technical Features

( 1 )   The plugging agent seamlessly traverses various downhole tools without causing damage.

( 2 )   The material is inert and highly compatible with both water-based and oil-based drilling fluids.

( 3 )   The plugging agent contains high-pressure elastic materials, effectively supporting and maintaining fracture openings under high pressure.

n  Application

DriSEAL plugging technology has seen over 100 applications across numerous oilfields operated by CNOOC, PetroChina, and Sinopec. It effectively prevents and hinders leakage during drilling operations, demonstrating notable pressure-bearing capacity in high-permeability formations.
